Phil Moos Joins BAM’s Capital Markets Team
NEW YORK – BAM Mutual, the U.S. municipal bond insurer, announced that Philip Moos will join BAM’s capital markets team to support continued growth in BAM’s secondary-market insurance activity with institutional investors. He will report to Bryan Baebler, BAM’s Head of Municipal Capital Markets.
Mr. Moos is a 30-year veteran of sales and trading roles in the municipal market. He joins BAM from Wells Fargo, where he was a Managing Director of municipal bond sales, and previously worked at Mesirow Securities and Goldman Sachs, among other firms.
“BAM’s capital markets team is uniquely proactive: We identify and execute on opportunities where BAM insurance can help institutional buyers and broker-dealers achieve their goals for portfolio credit quality, liquidity, and diversification,” Mr. Baebler said. “Phil’s experience is a great fit with that approach and we look forward to working with him to expand utilization of insurance in the market.”
“Municipal bond insurance is an important tool for the market, and utilization is likely to increase as we enter a more volatile credit cycle,” Mr. Moos said. “I look forward to joining the BAM team and helping more counterparties integrate insurance into their investment strategies.”
BAM is the leading secondary market insurer of municipal bonds, with $3 billion par insured from 293 issuer-members nationwide in 2025.
